Hey! My name is Andy and I will be CO-leading your DTS this year. I did my DTS in the US before moving to Sweden for close to 2 years where I staffed with YWAM and led groups to come do outreach in Thailand. I fell in love with Thailand and immediately felt God’s Heart for the Thai people. I have been here for over a year now and have been learning the Thai language for most of that time. I cant wait to have you here and work along side you as you grow your relationship with Christ and develop a heart for the unreached!

Hi I'm Mark Jackson, Married to Benz (like Mercedes Benz) and we have a 2 year old Daughter Anna, I'm from New Zealand where I completed my Bachelor of Applied Theology and Mission, while also working with at-risk youth. I've been living in Thailand for 9 years and am part of the Base leadership team here in Bangkok. I'm excited to help lead this DTS because I'm passionate about seeing young people understand and fulfill their potential and calling into Missions.

Katie grew up in Kansas on a dairy farm and never dreamed that God would call her to be a missionary. What started out as a 3-week basketball missions’ trip to Thailand has turned into almost 10 years of adventures with Jesus here. Katie married the most amazing Filipino man, Jeffrey Mesias on March 8, 2024 and they now serve together in Thailand under YWAM at the Abundant Life Home. Katie did her DTS in Kona Hawaii in 2022 after having served in Thailand for almost 7 years, and it forever changed her. Jeff grew up surrounded by missionaries as he grew up in an orphanage. College life was hard being alone with no family, but God rescued him through DTS. Jeff did his DTS at YWAM Philippines Impact where God radically transformed him from addictions, and called him into full time ministry. After his DTS, he became full-time staff at the Impact base. serving in the mission’s department and hosting outreach teams from other bases until he moved to Thailand.

Hello! We are Ricky and Karen Sanchez and we have been living in Southeast Asia for over 25 years! We have a vision to train and raise up the next generation of leaders in Thailand, Cambodia, and North America. Some of the ministries we have been involved with are; Global Sports in Asia, Abundant Life Home Orphanage, Project Standing Strong, Church Planting, Eye Glass Distribution Center, and coming this next year, we are planning on starting our own YWAM Base in Chonburi!

Hey! My name is Carissa and I’m from Georgia in the United States. I did my DTS in 2012 and did a School of Social Justice that same year. I did an internship in Liberia in 2013 and I have been involved at my local church by being involved with youth group, our drug addiction and recovery group, the young adults fellowship group, and by starting a Coffee shop! I am very excited to get back into the mission field!

Hi, my name is Michael Jackson and I am married to Joy and we have 3 adult children (2 boys and a girl) and 6 grandchildren. Mark, our middle son, is running the DTS. I completed my DTS in 1980 in Auckland, New Zealand and then completed a School of Evangelism also in Auckland. I am a trained counselor with over 25 years experience and have a passion for equipping the body of Christ for the work of ministry and to reach their full potential in God. I am excited to see what God will do in this DTS.
